The Board of Management of St. David’s NS, Naas invites applications for the position of Deputy Principal. This is a permanent post commencing on the 4th November 2024. The principal is currently on career break for this academic year so the successful applicant will also be acting up as principal.
St. David’s NS, Roll Number 11893G, Naas, Co. Kildare is a Church of Ireland School under the patronage of the Bishop of Meath and Kildare.

We currently have 90+ pupils. We have 4 mainstream classes, 1 ASD Class, 3 SET and 6 SNAs.
The Deputy Principal role is a key leadership role in the school and the successful applicant will work in collaboration with the Principal and the In-School Leadership and Management Team to ensure the effective management of the school, the provision of a high-quality educational experience for all pupils including the special education needs within the school and on school improvement, while ensuring that the school fully conforms to the governance structures as set out by the Department of Education.
The roles and responsibilities for the Deputy Principal post relate to the four domains of leadership and management as specified in Circular 0044/2019.
1. Leading Teaching and Learning.
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria: Fully registered under Route 1 (Primary) with the Teaching Council and have 5 years recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary school within the Republic of Ireland.

Current & continuing Teaching Council registration
Current Garda Vetting requirements
Occupational Health screening
