Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This position is 0.5 of an SNA post for the school year and commences on October 4th 2024.
Please note the following criteria;
Applicants must have the required qualifications as per Department of Education.
Experience of working in a primary school with children with complex special educational needs, medical needs, intimate care / toileting needs, communication needs and behavioural needs.
Candidates will need to demonstrate their experience and ability to manage pupils presenting with challenging behaviours.
Candidates must also demonstrate their ability to work as part of a school team under the direction of the class teacher, SEN Coordinator and Principal.
The successful candidate must be willing to engage with ongoing professional development.
The appointment is subject to Garda Vetting, Occupational Health Screening and the approval of our Patron.
