An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Board of Management initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on the 8th day of June 2024 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin; county Carlow. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 13th day of June 2024. The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 15th day of June 2024. The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.
There are 2 permanent positions to be filled through this process, if criteria at interview is met.
St. Laserian's School is a special school; we educate students aged 4-18 with Mild, Moderate, and Severe to Profound I.D. Many students have complex needs.
Applicants should have experience of working with children/young adults with ASD/ Severe to Profound I.D/epilepsy/ADHD/children/young adults with physical disabilities/medical/personal care needs.
Initial duties are for classes of students presenting with moderate/S/P GLD/ASD.
