An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Naas Community National School opened in September 2010. The school has 13 mainstream classes and 7 full time SET teaching staff. National Vetting Bureau and Occupational Health
All new employees must be Garda Vetted under the new arrangements made with the Teaching Council. The school must have proof of this before a teacher is allowed to take up work. Teachers will also have to complete OHS with Medmark prior to taking up the role.
