An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within the duration of the 2024/2025 school year.
St Joseph's NS are seeking to appoint a bus escort. This role will be for between 15 and 25 hours per week. The bus escort will accompany three children on specialised bus transport from their home to and from school.
The route is based out of Borris-in-Ossory, so the ability to get to and from Borris-in-Ossory is essential.
The bus escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate flexibility, have good communication skills and be able to contribute to the ethos of the school. Experience working with autistic children is desirable, but not essential.
Appointment is subject to Garda vetting.
