An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This post is in a class for children with ASD and an intellectual disability between the mild and moderate range for pupils age 4 to 12 yeas of age.
A knowledge of and experience of working in an ASD specific class is desirable but not essential. Pupils needs are complex and diverse. Behaviour can be challenging so a knowledge of positive behaviour practise is desirable as is a knowledge of pedagogy associated with an ASD class; Lamh and TEACHH are approaches that are used within the school.
Additional maternity leave positions may be required to be filled for the coming academic year will be filled from a panel following interviews for this post.
