Resource Teacher

Blakestown and Mountview Neighbourhood Youth Project (NYP) is a specialised, community-based youth project working with vulnerable 8 – 14 year olds and their families. The project provides developmental programmes and supports; nurturing and empowering all who engage to reach their full potential.


Vacancy for Primary Resource Teacher
(Job Share 01/09/2024- 31/08/2025)
This position is funded by the Department of Education & Skills

The successful candidate will work with children in schools in Dublin 15 and in the NYP centre devising creative educational programmes to suit the need of the children on the project.

The teacher will:
• Work with children individually and in groups to develop their literacy and numeracy in schools and in homework clubs.
• Be the primary contact between the local schools.
• Organise a range of engaging formal and informal educational supports for children.
• Participate with other staff members and with the child’s family and school in implementing a suitable programme of activities which will enhance the educational development of the child and families.
• Be a member of the Teaching Council.

Department of Education & Skills salary scales apply. Primary school hours and holidays apply.
