An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Ballyguiltenane National School is a vertical co-educational school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Limerick, Bishop Brendan Leahy. The present teaching staff comprises of 2 Mainstream Class Teachers, 1 Special Education Teacher. This is a shared post with Ballyguiltenane National School as the base school shared with St. Fergus N.S. Glin and Murhur N.S. Moyvane.

The Board of Management initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on the 29th day of July 2024, for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Limerick. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 3rd day of August 2024. The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 8th day of August 2024.
The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.
While this permanent vacancy is for a Special Education Teacher position initially, this may be subject to change and applicants must be willing to fulfil any teaching role within the school.
Appointment to this position will be subject, but not limited to successful, OHS, Garda Vetting, current and continuing Teaching Council Registration, satisfactory references and proof of qualifications.
